There is currently no legal requirement in New Zealand to be qualified when working as a hairdresser or barber. Unqualified hairdressers or barbers may put clients at risk. We believe that promoting qualified professionals through NZ HAIR will raise awareness in the importance of qualifications, increase the number of qualified professionals and overall standards in our industry. We care about our industry and are dedicated to promoting qualified and registered professionals within the hair industry.

How It Works

Create Your Listing

Creating your listing on the NZ Hair website is easy. We recommend you have digital copies of your qualification certificates on hand before you begin.

Pay Securely Online

NZ Hair provides secure credit card payment facilities to help ensure a seamless registration process. You'll receive a renewal notification every 12 months from the date your listing was originally published.

NZ Hair Approve

All new listings are manually reviewed by the NZ Hair team. We will be in touch with you directly if we need any further details before you listing is published.
